Each Camp is supervised by a Resort Manager, an Activities Manager and a Head Organizer. Les Elfes runs the camps with all appropriate staff, including monitors, organizers, kitchen staff, secretaries, drivers, cleaning staff etc.

Monitors

The organizer to student ratio is 1:5, however including all Les Elfes staff the ratio falls to 1:2.
All our monitors have been carefully selected in accordance with Les Elfes criteria for skills and experience in working with children. On top of this, Les Elfes uses sports experts for some activities.

Staff Training

All our summer and winter monitors and instructors have to take a two-week training course before the beginning of each season, one week of technical training and one week learning Les Elfes philosophy and safety requirements.

Staff Supervision

Our Activity Managers supervise the work of our monitors and instructors all day long.
In the winter, all our ski and snowboard instructors are accredited by the official Swiss Ski School, and in the summer each instructor is specialized in the different sports offered at Les Elfes.

Kids supervision

All our Spring camps, Summer Camps, Winter Camps, have a nurse and a 24 hour reception and night guard, which together with our monitors work, allows us to offer a 24 hours supervision of the children.

Hi guys, my name is Nico, I am a resort manager at Les Elfes.
3 years ago I had a great Opportunity to set the first Dofe expedition for a group who came to Les Elfes. The experience was incredibly fabulous and successful; it was so amazing to be with the kids exploring the mountain, lake and forest during the expedition.
I decided to pass my qualification to become an assessor and supervisor.
Today I am continuously working to improve our expeditions.
I am looking forward to welcoming you soon, on your next one.

Bonjour my name is Nuno, I am resort manager for Les Elfes and responsible for the La Tzoumaz campus, since 2006. I was born in Switzerland growing up in the mountains, which I know better than my own pockets. My passion is exploring the mountains with my dog Sherka.
Like my colleagues I completed my supervisor and assessor training in 2014. I can’t wait to embark on my own adventure, training and helping you to discover our beautiful country and your potential.

Hi, My name is Alessio, what I love most in life are mountains and the sports related to them. From a young age my father and I used to go hiking in the mountains; this made me very passionate. I have been a snowboard instructor and outdoor education coordinator with Les Elfes for the last 4 years. I look forward to opening the latest chapter with the DofE and passing on my enthusiasm to you.
Since 2014, I have been a supervisor and assessor for the Award. Transmitting my passion to young people is the best part of it. I find it really rewarding to see the happiness and sense of achievement in the students’ faces during their expedition. This is priceless for me!
