31/03/2014 Skiing, Optional s, music video
Epic day of skiing today, the students are progressing really well, many students now off the beginner slopes and skiing around the mountain, learning the different slopes and more advanced skills.
Upon returning to Les Elfes the students signed up for optional activities, today’s choice, swimming, shopping or participating in a Les Elfes games competition.
During the evening the students all gathered in the cinema room to participate in a Les Elfes music video.
Bed time for the students they are really exited to go on excursion tomorrow.
30/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Ice skating
Great day skiing today, the students are really enjoying being on the slopes and are learning to ski or snowboard very quickly.
When all the students returned to Les Elfes the all had some time to relax and have some snacks before signing up for optional activities, today’s choice was swimming shopping or staying in. Many of the students went shopping, a few went swimming and enjoyed a relaxing swim and Jacuzzi.
During the evening the students all gathered together in the dining room to go down to the local ice rink. While down there some of the students were taught how to ice skate, others enjoyed a good game of ice hockey and some students just enjoyed socializing with students from other groups and schools from Les Elfes.
29/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Clubs night
Fantastic days worth of skiing today, the students are learning the snow plough well and continuing their development into skiing, now learning parallel turning and stopping. Some of the groups moving onto the mountain to learn about the different piste levels, chair lifts and weather conditions found on the top of the mountain.
Upon returning to Les Elfes the students signed up for optional activities, many of them went out shopping with one of the monitors around town.
Tonight’s activity was clubs night, with such a different choice of clubs the students were overwhelmed during sign up to choose a club, (many wanting to choose two), the clubs are designed not just as a fun activity but also to give the students something new to learn and experience.
Meet Jack, ski instructor at Les Elfes International. Jack is from New Zealand and is a great skier, good in Freestyle and Freeride. He loves sharing his passion with his groups during the whole season.

28/03/2014 Skiing, Arrivals, prize giving and movie night
Final day of skiing for the individuals, they used the most of their time skiing as many pistes as possible before returning back to Les Elfes.
Arrivals was on the agenda for today, with two new schools arriving and some new individuals throughout the day. Upon arriving the students went through the simple check in process, begging at the reception. After the check in was complete they then all gathered in the dining room for a welcome speech from the resort manager explaining the rules of the campus.
A little later the new students were taken on a Verbier hunt, a guided tour completing challenges to locate themselves around Verbier. After the hunt they returned and received skis and boots for the weeks skiing, the students were individually ski and boot fitted from the instructors to ensure they were all fitted correctly.
During the evening they all gathered in Les Elfes dining room for a presentation a prize giving, prizes were given out from both the monitors and instructors. The new students gathered in the cinema room to watch a movie and relax, for some this was a great time to have a early night and prepare for tomorrows action on the slopes.
27/03/2014 Great day skiing, Departures
Great weather for the individuals on the mountain today they are progressing really well and the instructors are very impressed with them.
Last day of skiing for the large group of school students, they spent the whole day skiing on as many pistes as possible, gaining as much knowledge from their instructors as possible.
Upon returning to Les Elfes the school group had a presentation and prize giving outside in the sun, prizes were given from monitors and skiing awards were given out from their instructors. After prize giving the students left Les Elfes, we hope they have had a great time here at Les Elfes and hope they return soon.

During the winter camp in Verbier, campers have once a week a BBQ in La Chaux Snowpark on the Ski Resort of Verbier. Kids and teens can refill energy with well balanced food and watch the freestylers on the Snowpark to get inspired for the afternoon runs.

26/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Disco
Epic day of skiing today the students worked on a variety of pistes, learning the correct techniques from their instructors on the different leveled pistes. The snow conditions were very good, having been snowing during the past two days and although not perfectly clear blue skies, the viability was very good.
Upon arrival the students relaxed and had some snacks before signing up for optional activities, today’s choice, swimming, shopping or Staying at Les Elfes taking a break and playing games.
During the evening all of the students participated in a Les Elfes disco downstairs in the cinema room, there was alot of preparation involved in the disco with snacks, confetti, soft drinks and of course disco lights with headbanging speaker system. during the disco there was plenty of dancing, with some old school moves, some real “fresh” moves and some “i just made it up on the spot” moves.
25/03/2014 Skiing, Excursion, Torchlight walk and Music video
Great day skiing for the students today, the students put all of their effort into the week and have progressed really well. Many of the students were very good skiers and the instructors helped them to perfect their form and learn advanced techniques.
The individuals went on excursion to the Callier chocolate factory today, being shown around the factory on a self guided tour with the monitors and getting the chance to taste the chocolate at the end of the tour. After a nice tongue tingling taste of chocolate the students then progressed on to the Olympic museum in Lausanne, followed by shopping in Lausanne.
During the evening the students had a choice between torch light walk and music video, the choices were about half and half, with half the group going out with torches and the other half reenacting a music video.
24/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Torchlight walk
Great day skiing today, the new school of students are very good skiiers, this meant that the instructors spent all day teaching more advanced techniques and improving the skiiers core skills on a variety of pistes. The individuals are progressing very well, with some of the students doing very well and learning a great deal from their instructors. The weather today was very exceptional, having fresh snowfall all day, bringing foggy and clear conditions, this was great for the students to ski in different snow visibility and snow conditions.
Upon returning to Les Elfes the students all came into the dining room to relax and have some hot chocolate before signing up for optional activities, today’s choice, swimming, shopping and staying here at Les Elfes relaxing and for the older students having a pool competition.
Tonight’s activity was Torchlight walk, the students were all issued a pre-lit torch and joined the monitors on a relaxing walk, completing challenges around Verbier.
23/03/2014 Arrivals, Skiing, Optionals, Languages, Ice skating
Large group of Swiss students arrived today. Upon arrival the students dropped their bags at Les Elfes, then went straight on to the mountain after a warm up, briefing and going through the basics of skiing with of the instructors.
Upon arrival from skiing, the new students went through the check in procedure, then went on a Verbier hunt, completing challenges that locate themselves around Verbier. During this time some of the individuals had languages, while others signed up for optional activities.
During the evening all of the students went down to the local ice rink to watch the remainder of the local ice hockey team finish playing. The students then went on the ice, for some this was a completely new experience and the monitors were there to help them learn to skate, for others it was a great chance to meet and socialize with each other and play some hockey themselves.
22/03/2014 Departures, Arrivals, Check in, Movie night
The last of our school groups for this week left during very early hours of the morning, we hope they have had a great time at Les Elfes and hope they return soon
Les Elfes has been very quite during the day, with only a few individuals arriving. Once arriving the individuals went through the nice and simple check in procedure with reception, followed by check in to their rooms and a quick briefing form the resort manager, outlining all of the rules of the campus.
During the afternoon the students were taken on a Verbier hunt, completing challenges that locate themselves around our lovely town of Verbier. After the Verbier hunt the students returned and went downstairs to receive their skis and equipment they will be using over the week.
During the evening all of the students gathered downstairs in the Les Elfes cinema room to watch a movie and get to know each other. Some of the students were very tired from travelling all day and chose to go straight to bed early.
21/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Departures, Dine out, Presentation and prize giving
Final day of skiing fro all of the groups today. The students took full advantage of the bright sunshine and blue skies and took off to the mountain, gaining as much experience of skiing they possibly could during the course of the day.After the days worth of skiing the students returned to Les Elfes to relax, and sign up for optional activities, for today choice all of the students were told to pack thier bags and the monitors did the check out procedure before the students went shopping.
During sign up one of our schools left Les Elfes to return back home, we have really enjoyed having them here during the week and hope they return soon.
During the evening the students went on dine out to a local restaurant to enjoy some cheese raclette. After dine out the students then went into the dining room to have presentation and prize giving, with the students getting prizes from the animation team and the instructors that have been working with them over the week. They all then went downstairs to the cinema room to watch a slide show of all of the photos taken during the week.
20/03/2014 Skiing, Optional’s, La Fureur
Another stunning day on the mountain today, the students were ready and prepared outside for a full days worth of skiing… Loads of sun cream was used due to the blue skies and sunshine. BBQ on the mountain for the students at lunch, the students really enjoyed the BBQ, watching other snowboarders and skiers, skiing round the mountain while eating lunch.
Once the day had finished the students returned to Les Elfes, they had some time to relax, enjoying some fresh orange juice and chocolate milkshake before signing up for optional activities, today’s choice swimming, shopping or staying at Les Elfes relaxing and playing games.
During the evening the students all gathered in the dining room to participate in La Fureur, our very popular evening game, pinning two teams against each other in music based games.

19/03/2014 Skiing, Excursioin, Optionals, Disco
Full days worth of skiing today, the students were very exited to get onto the mountain. The weather today began rather cloudy but as the day ran through so did the sun, breaking through the clouds and the bright blue skies came out.
Once all of the students returned they all signed up for optional activities, with many of the students students staying at Les Elfes making the most of the sunshine, playing football outside on the ski rack area.
During the evening all of the students boogied on down to a Les Elfes disco at a hired out location in Verbier. The disco worked out great, all of the students danced and really enjoyed themselves.
One of the school groups went on excursion to the Callier chocolate factory today, the factory was a great insight to how the Callier chocolate is made. After the chocolate factory the students then visited the Gruyere cheese factory to observe how the local cheese is made. During the afternoon the students relaxed around the lovely town of Vevey.
18/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Clubs night
A great days worth of skiing today, the students are progressing really well and the instructors are very impressed with them. Both school groups are going up onto the mountain, skiing on different leveled pistes
When the students returned they relaxed with some hot chocolate, cold drinks and snacks before signing up for optionals, today’s choice was swimming, shopping, or games at Les Elfes.
During the evening all of the groups joined together to participate in clubs, the choice of clubs tonight was Design and build, Tapas, Photography,arts and crafts and dance. The students were really involved, learning something new about their chosen activity.
17/03/2014 Skiing, Arrivals, Optionals and Ice skating
Great weather for skiing today, the students are learning to ski fast and their enthusiasm is excellent, the instructors are very impressed with them. The students stayed skiing all day.
When the student returned to Les Elfes they signed up for optional activities, today’s choice, swimming, shopping or Staying at Les Elfes competing in a wii competition.
During the evening the students all gathered int he dining room to go ice skating down the local ice rink, while down at the ice rink some of the students learned to skate, while others played ice hockey.
New group of arrivals today, when they arrived they dropped their bags off and went straight skiing for the duration of the day. During the evening the new group joined the other students ice skating down on the ice rink.
16/03/2014 Skiing, Optionals, Bin bag fashion show
First day of skiing for the students today, they were all really exited. Once on the slopes all of the students were individually assessed for there level of skiing. The sessions all began with a nice warm up to ensure they are prepared for the days skiing, from there the instructors demonstrated and began showing the students how to correctly do the snow plough. For many of the students this was a new challenge having never skied before, for others this was a great opportunity to brush up on their skills ensuring they know how to do it correctly.
The students spent the whole day on the slopes learning to ski, the instructors were very impressed with the enthusiasm form the students.
Upon returning to Les Elfes the students signed up for optional activities, today’s choice, swimming, shopping or Staying in relaxing and playing games.
During the evening all of the students gathered in the dining room to participate in our very popular evening activity, Bin bag fashion show, where students separate them self in teams and compete against each other to be judged on style, Strength and looks.
15/03/2014 Skiing, Arrivals, Ski fit, Movie night
Departures very early this morning, during the week we hope the students have had a great time and return soon.
The individuals who were staying an extra week went skiing this morning, soaking up the sun and flowing through the pistes.
Arrivals around mid day, the students arrived and went through the simple check in procedure after lunch. this involved handing in any passports, pocket money and important paper work. From there they were then taken around campus and shown to their rooms where they received their own personal locker key. After all the boring side was finished the students were then taken downstairs into the ski fit room, where they all received their own ski boots and skis, fitted professionally form their instructors to ensure they were the correct fit.
During the afternoon the students were shown around our lovely campus location, Verbier. The animation team took them on a Verbier hunt, completing challenges around the town.
During the evening all of the students relaxed downstairs in the cinema room to watch a movie and socialize with other students. For the students who were really tired from travelling they chose to go to bed early.
