Arrival at Medran and the first day on the slopes
We had our first group arrive at our Medran campus full of energy and excitement for their week ahead. With the students getting all of their skis and snowboards fitted last night, the enthusiasm for the slopes the next day was at an all time high. With a delicious first meal and some sightseeing around Verbier our campers settled into the chalet and waited for the snow the following day.
Today started so eargerly at breakfast with many campers wanting to be on the slopes before the lifts were spinning. Once meeting with their instructors all groups managed to enjoy some of the fresh snow that had been falling throughout the night. After some lunch and hot chocolates on the slopes, all the groups continued to progress and learn new skills and techniques to aid them in the week ahead.
Snacks and more hot chocolate were at the chalet to meet the campers from their first day of skiing. Once refreshed the students split into three groups, with some heading to the pool to relax, another for further sightseeing in the town and also some indoor rock climbing for those wanting more of a challenge. The evening consisted of a range of games on the campus for the students to get to know eachother and monitors better, with lots of fun and laughter.
