Today the children will be going on excursion. We have two destinations this week, Chamonix in France to visit the Glacier Museum & Chocolate & Cheese Factory and sightseeing in Vevey.
Today our students were skiing as far as the four valley’s. This progression is fantasic and shoes how much effort they have put in. This evening we will go to the escape rooms and night sledging.
All students are packing and getting ready to go back to home. We are very sad to see them go. We have many new arrivals today, who are excited to be here and we are excited to meet them.
Today was the last day of skiing. The students are becoming sad because tehy have made some new friends for life.
Today is the ski race and BBQ. Its beautiful weather for it so we cant wait to see who wins. Our students have been preparing the whole week for this and they have improved so much, lets see who wins!?
Mid week and our students have headed off to their excursion day. We offered France Chamonix or Chocolate & Cheese Factory. Others decided to ski today to get that extra practice in for the race day tomorrow.
Third day of skiing today and our students are really improving their ski / snowboard levels. We have had some beautiful weather this week, sun sun sun!
A great start to the week, our students are keen to get stuck in and try their hardest with skiing and snowboarding. This evening we will play some team games to ensure the students are comfortable with each other and to help build those very important relationships.
Today our happy campers went skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing or to the spa for the day. This evening we have some students staying in a mountain hut at 2700 meters high, they will wake up early to watch the sunrise together.
Today is the last day skiing for some. This evening we have prize giving and we will find out who won the race! Who will be our start campers and who wont the tidy room competition!
Les Elfes is in full swing this week, with a large range of students from around the globe. We started of today skiing with such enthusiastic! the children enjoyed the sun and fun!
Today we saw the departure of lots of campers, which is always a hard day, seeing so many lovely students from the last two weeks head back home to their various countries. However was lovely to see this session so many friendships that have been made and also so many students wanting to return the following year.
We wish you a great arrival to home, enjoying with all your family and having lots of fun the rest of the summer. We will miss you and we hope to see you again in our camp!
On the other side, we were so happy to recive some new arrivals, 15 Ideas kids that came from China this morning after a very long flight and also 2 individuals that arrived in the afternoon. They played the Verbier Hunt this afternoon to have a first contact with the town and have fun at the same time. For the existing kids that stay longer, they played tennis and did rock climbing at the Sport Center and they had free time to do some shopping in the village.
After dinner we all watched a film in the cinema room, to chill, relax and get ready for tomorrow, a day full of activities and new arrivals that we want to welcome.
Today our amazing campers woke up full of energy ready to start a new warm and sunny day in Verbier. All of them had language lessons and a bit of free time to have fun before lunch.
After lunch, the Discoveries went to Sembrancher to do Rock climbing in real mountains. They had no problem conquering the wall and climbing to the top showing their skills. At the way back they did clubs, where they can choose beetwen swimmingpool, shooping or arts and crafts. The activity night was La Fureur, where they played lots of fun competition games.
Explorers went to play Zorb footbal into teams. They had lots of fun and they did lot of sport at the same time. After dinner they had different activities to join in. Some of them did baking, showing their skills with the amazing cookies that they did. Other played board games in the casino night and the ones a bit tired watched a film in the cinema room, with drinks and pop corn included.
The Pioneers came back late at the campus today. They spent all day at the lake doing amazing activities as tubing or sailing and sharing a delicious outdoor barbaque. Once at the camp they play some games to chill and calm down.
With a stormy night, it was time to relax and sleep to get ready for the emotional last day of the session.
Transfer to Zermatt, Sion castle and rope course!
We arrived in Zermatt today! Its really pretty as well as cold here. On the way we visited the beautiful Sion castle, which is an hour away. The hike was long but a fun experience. Campers returning to Les Elfes had the opportunity of trying something different, and visited the Zermatt fun park and did a rope course.
In the later half we started our club activities. The options include bushcraft, sports coaching, theatre as well as photography. It was a really fun day!
Today, our students were all excited for gain more experiences skiing they leaped out of bed and were on the slopes in no time at all.
After a great lunch on the moutain and a sunny afternoon on the slopes, they headed back to the camp and ate some delicious snacks and hot chocolate.
As “après-ski” activities, our students had the choice between different funny activities or the went to language lessons.
In the evening, they all enjoyed some team games at the Sports Center!
The kids were eager to get on the slopes before it all melts in this warm spring. It was a sunny day with great visibility, so improvements in technique could still be made with their fantastic instructors!
Once they came back from their lessons, they chose between do some shopping at the village, do rock climbing at the Sport Center or stay at the campus relaxing and playing boardgames. Another group went to study languages during the afternoon.
After a dinner of delicious rice, veggies and turkey, some of them got their jackets on and went on a torchlight walk up the mountain. Those who stayed at camp watched a movie until it was time for bed.
This morning was a lot brighter and the children had loads of fun skiing and snowboarding through heaps of powder and learning how to parallel turn.
This afternoon back at camp there were plenty of activitities on offer, including shopping, playing games and snowman building. Some of the students had languages in the village.
Tonight after a delicious dinner the children had the option to either sledge or take part in our casino night which involved a friendly game of poker, uno, jungle speed and cards.
Our students enjoyed another lovely day skiing and snowboarding in Verbier.
They gave their best on the mountain but still have some energy for the afternoon activities. Some played football, others watched a movie and while the rest of them prefered to play jungle speed and other table games. Two of our kids decided to try paragliding, flying from the top of the mountain and enjoying the amazing views.
In the evening, our students could chose between a Torchlight walk in the village, a Quiz Night or the Escape Room!
Today was the arrival of our individuals on camp, we also had a couple of individuals that are staying with us for another week of skiing which is really lovely to see. The weather this week is meant to bring us lots of snow in Verbier which will be amazing. The individuals that stayed on camp went skiing/snowboarding and the new arrivals prepared themselves for the fun filled week ahead….
What a fun-packed day of camp. Our group had their ski races and some of them have gone from barely turning to flying through the gates and many were proud to receive their medals this evening in the prize giving with their instructors. After Prize Giving we had an early dinner followed by our crazy crazy disco night.
