26th of March skiing, snowboarding, sports center, village, music video

It has been a sunny day in Verbier with lots of snow up in the slopes. One beginners are progressing well and all of our campers are mixing and making new friends. It has been so nice to see them smiling even through difficult conditions and for the older kids to be taking care of the younger kids and making the camp a real family atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the campers choose between three different activities: sports center, visit to the village or playing games at the main campus. They had their usual snacks and hot chocolate before going for their chosen activity.

After dinner the students mixed up and worked in teams to create an amazing music video which they can take home with them as a souvenir to remember their week at camp and their new friends here.

Tomorrow the students will wake up for their third day of skiing or snowboarding too keep practicing and improving their skills.

2nd March 2017 – Skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ski race, town, swimming & disco!!

Day 5 was off to a great start with another dump of fresh snow, because of the wind conditions the Cry’der lift was shut in the morning so all the groups took the bus to the Violettes. Once coming back for lunch the campers were able to re-energize and head back to shred the mountain.

After a long day of skiing the kids warmed up and then went right back out to enjoy some snow tubing. Snow tubing was a lot of fun because of the fresh snow. Returning from dinner the kids had some time to get ready for the disco after dinner. The disco was great as the campers were able to all show off there amazing dance moves.

Getting back from the disco the kids were able to relax for what would be a blue bird day of skiing!

VERBIER: Today has been a brilliant day here at camp with all our skiers and snowboarders progressing massively and all performing really well in our slalom ski race on the mountain. Lots of our campers are confident they won they will have to wait anxiously till tomorrows prize giving to find out. We then had to have an indoor BBQ due to the weather but everyone still enjoyed the delicious food that was prepared.

This afternoon some visited the local pool for some games and a relaxing jacuzzi while many headed into town with our monitors to buy souvenirs for their family back home. Tonights dinner was traditional cheese fondue which went down a treat before this evenings disco! We had lots of dance routines to follow and everyone was giving it their all on the dance floor.

Sunday 1st January – Skiing, treasure hunt, ice-skating & PJ Party

It has been an excellent start to the year with lots going on here in Verbier. We had to say goodbye to some of our campers today which was sad but we will see them again soon i’m sure! Our first time skiers were working hard learning how to stop and snow-plow on Les Esserts and the remaining campers had a brilliant time on the mountain practicing different drills with their instructors.

This afternoon some chose to visit Verbier village for some crepes and milkshakes while one group stayed and took part in a treasure hunt around camp. Tonight ice-skating was on the agenda for our explorers while the discoveries had their own pyjama party with games and a movie. It had been a super day and we are all looking forward to tomorrow.

Tuesday 27th December – Skiing, Swimming, escape rooms & Clubs night

It has been a busy but fun day here at camp with our groups and individual campers. Everyone had a super time out on the slopes. Our campers from last week continued to improve their techniques and are loving seeing different areas of the mountain. For our newcomers it was a chance to take in the beautiful surroundings and get a good feel for the mountain.

This afternoon everyone had various options, some went to the swimming pool for a splash and some races while others visited Verbier town for the first time. Back at camp we had games on the go as well as bracelet making. All the children are mixing really well and getting to know each other which is great to see.

After dinner some of the older group ventured into town to take part in the Escape rooms. Although they did not escape in time the monitors were very impressed with the teamwork and determination of both groups. Back at Les Elfes the rest of the campers enjoyed Design & Build, cooking where they made brownies and cookies and Arts & crafts making chinese lanterns.

Is had been a brilliant day and everyone is looking forward to their excursions tomorrow!

Wednesday 21st December – Skiing, escape rooms, swimming & clubs

Another fantastic day for our individual campers on the mountain. The majority of the groups are now up the mountain putting their new skills into practice. Our more experienced skiers and boarders are learning how to carve and some tricks! On return to camp everyone was eager to tell stories from their day on the slopes. The instructors were also happy to inform us of their groups improvement which is always brilliant to hear.

This afternoon our explorers headed to the new Escape Rooms in town to solve the mystery. They all worked really well and managed to escape with 1 minute to spare. A few of our campers chose to swim where we had diving competitions and races before relaxing tired muscles in the jacuzzi. After dinner it was time for clubs night, those that signed up for arts & crafts made lots of christmas decorations to decorate the rooms. Those that joined drama club had fun acting out different scenarios and scenes while at design & build there was a competition on building a free standing shoe rack.
