Saturday 5th October – International Day, Boys v Girls, Dine Out

It has been a beautiful sunny day here in Verbier and another exciting day for our campers. We began with languages before having an International feast to celebrate having lots of different nationalities here. Everyone enjoyed lots of food from all over the world! This afternoon in our groups we made presentations about the countries we are from so we could share with others the different cultures, and funny facts! It was really interesting and everyone got involved which was great to see.

This evening our Discovery group had a scavenger hunt around the grounds finding different objects and photos which was amazing and very competitive. The Explorers had a Boys v Girls game show with lots of different challenges and games to complete with both teams performing brilliantly! The Pioneers spent the evening dining out in town at the local Italian restaurant which was nice and chilled with some tasty food. It has been a wonderful day and we are all looking forward to tomorrow.



Thursday 13th April- Skiing, Snowboarding, Milk Bar, Swimming, Games, Disco

Today everyone really enjoyed another day on the slopes and the weather was lovely once again they were learning their final skills and techniques ready for tomorrow as its an exciting day on the slopes with a ski race and a BBQ.

In the afternoon one school were very lucky to get the opportunity to go to the milk bar and have crepes and milkshakes. Others got the chance to play games at les elfes and get ready for the disco early and some campers even went for a nice relaxing swim at the local swimming pool.

In the evening everyone jumped on the buses and went to the local disco venue and danced the night away which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of tired but happy campers this evening.

Wednesday April 5th 2017 – Skiing, Snowboarding, Swimming, Village Visits , Games at Camp & Disco

Today was an amazing day here at Les Elfes. The campers started the off with a lot of clouds and light snow fall but once they got up the mountain they broke through to sunshine and had a awesome day skiing and snowboarding some new snow.
The day was spent really toning the skills they have learnt over the past days and all the beginner groups are now starting to link turns and show real control and confidence on the mountain.
Some of our campers also had an exciting excursion today to the chocolate and cheese factory where they got to taste some of Switzerland’s most finest chocolate and cheese.
After chilling out and enjoying some hot chocolate and snacks the campers that went skiing today all participated in different activities some went swimming, some stayed at camp and played games outside, some went to town to enjoy crepes and do some shopping and some went to the escape rooms to try their luck.
After dinner all the campers headed into the town for tonight’s disco where they got to party the night away with their new and old friends and enjoy some awesome music and show off their dance moves.
After the huge day here everyone is off to bed to catch up on some sleep for tomorrow.

Sunday 02.04.17- Skiing, Snowboarding,Games, Swimming, Baking,Town, Music Video, Ice Skating

Today it snowed up the mountain so a lot of campers were very pleased about that as some of them it was their first time up the mountain. The campers on the beginners slopes really enjoyed their day and are improving already.

In the afternoon we had many different activities to chose from. Two groups did baking and they made some lovely cookies and brownies which got eaten for dessert after dinner. Some campers chose to stay on camp and play lots of board games, cards and in the games room. Some campers even chose to go to the local swimming pool and have a nice relaxing swim.

After dinner we slit into two groups. One group got the chance to produce a music video where they split into smaller groups and came up with some fantastic dance moves which will be edited and they will all see it at the end of the week at prize giving. The other half of the campers went ice skating at the local ice rink and had loads of fun and they even got the chance to watch and play a bit of ice hockey.

Everyone is really looking forward to tomorrow.

Tuesday 21.03.17 – Skiing, Snowboarding, Team building, Swimming, Town, Fashion Show, Yoga

Another lovely day here at camp. The snow conditions still great and everyone still improving on their skills.

After skiing the campers signed up for many different activities including swimming, team building games, town to enjoy crepes, fashion show and even a bit of relaxing yoga. Everyone then had a yummy dinner and went onto their evening activities.

In the evening we had a few activities going on. The younger children enjoyed a game show called The Cube then went off to pack as it was their last night here. We also had another game show called The Fureur which is a music game show which they all got very involved with and they then headed up to pack. All the other campers went on a nice relaxing torchlight walk through verbier.

One schools last day up the mountain tomorrow so they are looking forward to making the most the snow.

Sunday March 19th 2017 – Skiing, Snowboarding, Baking, Swimming, Shopping & Ice Skating

Today has been a awesome first day at Les Elfes the sun is shining, the snow is soft and the campers having lots of fun, learning new things and getting to know each other.
This morning was super exciting as the campers got to meet their ski instructors and groups for the week ahead and head up the mountain for the first time whilst some of the campers who are spending two weeks with us skied all over the mountain learning new skills and tricks.

Back at camp we had a fun afternoon with loads of activities some campers enjoyed swimming, baking yummy chocolate chip cookies and heading to town to do some shopping.

After dinner we went ice skating whilst some enjoyed just skating with their new friends others played a mini game of hockey. Before heading off to bed to catch up on some much needed sleep the campers enjoyed a much needed hot chocolate.

Sunday 19th February- Skiing, Swimming, Games, Verbier Hunt and Ice Skating

We have had a very busy day on camp today with many different activties going on. Skiing went well for everyone and the weather was lovely. For some of our campers it was their first time on the slopes and we can’t wait to see them progress throughout the week. Everyone is coping very well being away from home and being organised throughout the day.

During the afternoon we had many activties going on. Swimming, games and Verbier hunt they were all very successful. Lots of us buying lovely souvernirs for our families back home.

This evening we all went ice skating then came back and relaxed with some hot chocolate and headed to bed to get an early night ready for a busy day tomorrow.

Tuesday 31st January – Skiing, problem solving, swimming, games & clubs night

It has been an exciting day here at camp and everyone has had a busy and exciting time. Some of our new campers have learn’t to snow plow and stop and have been testing out the button lift. Our other campers enjoyed some snow up the mountain! It was very exciting and everyone did fantastic in the conditions. Fingers crossed for more snow!

This afternoon we had lots of optional activities on offer. One group visited the pool and had fun splashing around while another group took part in some problem solving games. The rest of our campers played on the Wii, in the games room or made some bracelets.

After a traditional Swiss dinner of raclette we had clubs night. As part of our club night tonight we had a Harry Potter themed yoga session which went down a treat! We also had healthy eating group who did fruit carving while another group baked some yummy cookies. We also had some arts & crafts and design & build where they made bridges. It was a great day and everyone is looking forward to skiing or excursions!



17th January – Skiing, Snowboarding, Swimming, Sledging and Who Wants to be a Millionaire!

Verbier looked super pretty this morning with the beautiful sunshine beating down on the snowy mountains. The air was fresh but the children were all wrapped up warm and ready to get out on the slopes again to continue learning from their amazing instructors. Some groups are learning to parallel turn whilst others are beginning to carve around the mountain. Our beginners are progressing quickly and most of them will be heading up to the top very soon.

Back at camp there were a mixture of activities on offer and there was an exciting vibe in the air. The children had a crazy time sledging back out in the snow whilst others went swimming or made some delicious cookies. Some of individuals headed to languages and others strolled into town to look around the shops and visit some cafes.

Tonight our school group had a lot of fun participating in Who Want To Be A Millionaire, which got very competitive but showed just how clever our campers are. We also had Boys vs Girls for our Individuals who completed different games and challenges to see who are the ultimate champions! All in all we have had a fantastic day here in Verbier!!

Today was the last day of activities for most of our campers as they all start to depart for home tomorrow.

Discoveries – This morning the discoveries broke into three groups and took part in some team challenges like dribbling and shooting a football, tennis serving, basketball from different areas of the court. After lunch they headed down to the outdoor swimming pool where they enjoyed the lovely mountain sun as the swam and played beach volleyball.

Explorers and Pioneers – Today both the explorers and pioneers went to lake Geneva to enjoy sun. Once they got down there they were on and off the banana boat, hoping in and out of the kayaks paddling around. Some just enjoyed the sun and relaxed by the lake after a busy couple of weeks activities.

Tonight is prize giving and the final chance for everyone to say goodbye to all their new friends and staff.











Rock climbing, mini golf, tennis, swimming, golf and mountain biking were all done today!

Today we had all groups in their language lessons first thing. They used this time to prepare their international presentations. After lunch they all took turns presenting facts about their country’s to the other campers. Then they broke up into the three groups for the afternoons activities.

Discovery – This afternoon the discovery kids had a sports day where the went to the outdoor pool and played beach volleyball

Explorer – This afternoon the explorers went to play some mini golf

Pioneers – After their presentations the pioneers went to do some rock climbing

All the groups went up to le Hattay. This is a BBQ spot we use halfway up the mountain in the forest. They had a nice BBQ our chefs provided and a lovely walk back as the sun set.
