International Summer Camp Les Elfes Switzerland is a Swiss family-owned camp with over 37 years of experience organizing camps for children aged 6 to 17, welcoming participants from more than 75 countries.

Our summer camp activities for kids and teens include rock climbing, mountaineering, orienteering, water sports, canoeing, arts-and-crafts and mountain biking. Each course offers summer campers the opportunity to learn new skills. Moreover, Les Elfes International introduces new activities to our sleepaway summer camp programs every year. The age groups enable kids and teens participating in Les Elfes International summer camp to find friends of similar age from different countries and to learn a little about other cultures.
6-10

An ideal first international summer camp experience in Switzerland, Les Elfes offers dedicated staff for the discovery age group who provide sensitive guidance and a clear structure to nurture children’s development. We maintain small group sizes and summer camp programs filled with challenging and fun camp activities for kids, catering to even the sportiest of youngsters.

For our slightly older and more experienced campers, we offer a challenging and interactive program rich in fun summer camp activities. In the Explorer group, summer campers are encouraged to become more independent and step out of their comfort zones.

Our most challenging summer camp program recognizes the need for older campers to try new sports and push their boundaries. This summer camp program is packed with exhilarating and fun camp activities!
During Les Elfes summer camp session 2, a 4th overnight summer camp program is introduced for teens aged 13-14 – The adventure camp! Adventurers will follow a schedule that will prepare them to become pioneers and practice their teamwork skills while learning to smoothly overcome their fears.

Morning & lunch

Students are woken up by Les Elfes monitors for Breakfast

Groups meet their monitors for a morning meeting where they are briefed on the clothing and equipment they will need for the day & perhaps a warm-up activity

Language classes: children start their language lessons which are given by Verbier Language School. Here they are divided into small groups of a maximum of 7 students and divided according to language level.
11h00 – 12h00
This is the time for optional activities such as private golf, horse-riding and tennis courses or intensive or private language courses. Campers who have not chosen any extra course participate in group activities with our monitors.

Afternoon activities are split by age group: mountain biking, rock climbing, nature hike, orienteering or an afternoon down by the lake with banana boating, wake boarding or indoor water park.

At our summer camp, we focus on cultural activities
Every year, Les Elfes International kids camp introduces new enrichment workshops into our summer camp programs, providing fresh experiences for our campers. We offer campers a solid foundation for personal development by involving them in activities such as public speaking and various team-building exercises.
Language courses
Les Elfes summer camp program offers language lessons. To provide the best learning experience for our students, we partner with Verbier Language School, which ensures specialized teachers for each language course.
Students are grouped based on their language proficiency levels, with a maximum class size of 8 students per teacher. We offer three types of courses – Conversational, Intensive, and Private – in French, English, Spanish, Mandarin, and German.
Our language courses at Les Elfes follow specific criteria for different proficiency levels, and students receive detailed certificates and a portfolio of their work to take home with them.
Excursions
What better way to really appreciate the culture of Switzerland and its neighboring countries than to dedicate a day to visit some of the most iconic cities and some of the famous organizations and museums.
Each of our cultural excursion days is a little different, with new options each year for those returning campers who are ready to see something new!
Whether it is souvenir shopping that interests you or learning about the history of communication in Bern, the capital of Switzerland, the options are endless. Sample some of the finest Swiss chocolates and cheeses at the factories in Gruyere, learn about global cooperation with a guided tour of the United Nations or Swiss Red Cross museum in Geneva, an interactive tour of the Olympic museum in Lausanne the home of the International Olympic Committee, walking inside a glacier at the nearby ice caves in Chamonix, visiting many of the beautiful castles in the area, taking a stroll through the pedestrian streets of Zermatt while admiring the views on the Matterhorn, visiting Evian or Annecy in France and many many more options.

We provide unique, fun activities to ensure campers have the opportunity to make friends quickly, explore the outdoors, and return home feeling more confident, having learned about Switzerland and Europe, and eager to come back the following year.
Overnight Mountain hut
At the beginning of each summer camp session, campers are divided into age groups and taken to a mountain hut to spend an overnight in the heart of Swiss nature. There, they get to know the other campers that will share the summer camp with them and start forming the first friendships. Capture the flag, stargazing and campfire are all part of the experience.
International day
At Les Elfes International summer camp, campers come from all over the world. Within this international community, we feel it is important to recognize the traditions and culture of each other. It not only gives students the opportunity to celebrate their nation or beliefs but allows them to bring a little piece of their home culture into the camp.Once a session, campers are divided by nationalities and spend the morning preparing a presentation of their country. They then teach the other campers about their culture, cuisines, traditions and languages. In the afternoon, the entire campus turns into an inflatable fair with lots of games and fun! The day culminates with a mini replication of the Indian Holi festival, where campers laugh together and throw colors all over the campus.
It is a fantastic opportunity for students participating in our international summer camp to present their culture, do some public speaking, and enjoy the food from each other’s countries.

What to bring at the summer camp ?

How much pocket money my child will need during the summer camp?
We recommend giving your child an average of CHF. 100. per week, depending on their spending habits and age, to buy souvenirs and snacks. (Meals and activities, apart from optional dine-out, are included.)
Students can leave their pocket money at the reception for Safekeeping. Pocket money can be withdrawn daily from 16h00 to 17h00 (and from 08h00 to 09h00 on excursion days). Upon request, an exact statement will be given to the student at the end of the summer camp program.

Our full-day camps run from 08:00 to 22:00, packed with activities from morning till evening. Each day starts with a drop-off at the Les Elfes office, followed by a mix of language courses and outdoor adventures.
The program includes lunch and dinner, and a variety of afternoon activities such as football, basketball, trampolining, treasure hunts, and mini-golf. The fun continues into the evening with social activities like quizzes, team-building challenges, games, and campfires.
