Les Elfes
International All-Year Round Camps
in Verbier, Switzerland

Since 1987, Les Elfes International, founded by Philippe and Nicole Stettler, has been offering winter, spring and summer camps for children aged 6 to 17 in Verbier, Crans-Montana and La Tzoumaz in the Swiss Alps.

Our priorities are :

  • the safety of the children;
  • the development of the children through socialisation and quality activities and excursions.

Our mission: children leave with memories they will cherish forever.

To complete our staff, we are looking for motivated, responsible and dynamic people who have experience of working with children.
Because you are the main contact with the children, your importance is paramount to our mission.

Requirements

  • Hold an EU passport. For other nationalities, we can only offer a GAP (trainee) contract with a maximum validity of 90 days.
  • Experience working in a camp or with young people aged between 6 – 18 years old
  • English is a must, and any additional language is a plus: All daily communication in the camp between staff and children is in English.
  • Hold a clean CRB check (criminal record check) from your country of origin

What qualities are we looking for?

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with children, supporting and encouraging them to discover new experiences/activities in a caring way.

We expect you to socialise with the children, lead group activities with pedagogy, and be positive in order to offer our campers an unforgettable holiday.

To ensure the safety of the children, we are looking for staff who are patient, attentive, proactive, and able to make decisions in stressful situations.

For the organisation of daily activities, we are looking for creative, team-oriented, responsible, and punctual people.

Ski/snowboard animators

  • Provide a fun and safe environment for all students to learn and improve on the slopes
  • Level 1 skiing required

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

  • Working hours between 8h – 16h each day and 3 animation shifts a week
  • Work 6 days a week
  • Seasonal contract Nov – May
  • Instruct and manage between 4 – 7 students on the slopes
  • Organise ski groups with other instructors to ensure the students are in the correct levels
  • Have lunch and interact with the children during the lunch break
  • Interact with the students and create new memories for them
  • Take photos of all students within your ski group to upload each day on our social media
  • Be a part of the animation team and help for a couple of hours in the afternoon/evening
  • Make lots of memorable moments for the students at camp
    Provide a prize-giving at the end of the week for your ski group

Nurse

  • Required: Nursing or medical qualification
  • Preferred: Previous experience working with children

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

  • Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for all campers who need it
  • Review the medical reports received before the children’s arrival
  • Provide first aid for minor injuries and illnesses
  • Document the medications that are given to campers
  • Complete the accident and illness forms
  • Liaise with external health services such as pharmacies and doctors
  • Collect campers’ medication and store it in a safe place
  • Share information on children’s daily medication and dietary with snowsports animators
  • Distribute medication to the children as instructed by the doctor or parents
  • Provide medical support to the Les Elfes staff
  • Manage the stock of medicines and the first aid kits
